| Advocacy |
| Most East Africans grapple with the lack of basic
needs. Majority earn less than a dollar per day.
Underneath this poverty, lies a disempowered
people who lack the capacity and knowledge to
advocate for the realisation of their basic
rights. The initial step to empowerment involves
the provision of information to the public.
Increase knowledge on social justice issues will
enable the public to appreciate the issues and
provide support to social justice work.

resource mobilisation issues affecting East
Africans.
|
| - |
| - Involve the conducting of research, production of
occasional papers, and dissemination of
information on social justice and local resource
mobilisation.
|
| - |
| - Entail collaboration with institutions interested in
the conduct of research, education, or public
discussions on local resource mobilisation and
social justice.
|
| - |
| - Develop strategies to enhance the effective
mobilisation of local resources for social justice
in collaboration with partners.
|
| - |
| - Build networks and organisational partnerships aimed
at promoting social justice, e.g., The Citizens’ Assembly,
and an enabling environment for civil society,
e.g., Tax Incentive Initiative and the working
group on NGO recognition and the promotion of good
practices in civil society |
