One
of Ufadhili’s purposes is to become the
organisation that East Africans seek for guidance
and information on philanthropy and volunteerism, CSR and Community Resource Mobilisation (CRM). Ufadhili focuses on
contributing new knowledge, lessons learned,
information, and linkages on a regional and
international basis through training and
information dissemination.
Ufadhili has achieved this purpose by providing
information on philanthropy and volunteerism, CSR and CRM at
conferences and workshops, through various
publications and in an online newsletter. In
addition to these, Ufadhili maintains the largest
catalogued regional library and database of
materials on philanthropy, volunteerism, corporate
involvement in social development and resource
mobilisation.
The
Trust is also keen to identify studies and surveys
conducted or papers written on philanthropy in
order to facilitate their publication or
dissemination of findings. It is an integral part
of Ufadhili’s mandate to share evidence-based
information through effective communication
channels.
Ufadhili
has closely collaborated with diverse institutions
and individuals involved in research on
philanthropy, CSR, and social justice in
East Africa
and other parts of the world.
